Image Resizer
Resize an image to a new width and height in your browser.
Runs in your browser Your input never leaves your device.
About this tool
Choose an image and enter a new width, a new height or both. If you fill in only one and Keep ratio is ticked, the other is calculated to preserve the proportions. If you fill in both, those exact values are used, which can stretch the picture. Leave both empty to keep the original size. The image is redrawn on a canvas in your browser and the result is a PNG you can preview and download, with its size in pixels and kilobytes shown. Your file is never uploaded. Because PNG is lossless, photos can come out larger than the original JPEG, and enlarging cannot add detail.
How to use it
- Drop an image or choose a file.
- Enter a width, a height, or both. Keep ratio is on by default.
- Check the preview and the new size.
- Press Download.
Common problems
- The picture looks stretched
- Both width and height were entered with different proportions. Fill in only one with Keep ratio ticked.
- The output file is bigger than the original
- The result is always a PNG, which is lossless. For smaller photos, convert to WebP or use a compressor afterward.
- The enlarged image is blurry
- Making an image bigger cannot create detail that was never there.
