About this tool
Rotate a picture 90 degrees clockwise, 180 degrees, or 90 degrees counter-clockwise, or flip it horizontally or vertically. The result appears right after you pick the file and updates when you change the option. Image pixels are redrawn on a canvas in your browser, so nothing is uploaded, and the output is a PNG named image-rotate.png at the full original resolution. Note that only these fixed turns are offered: you cannot rotate by an arbitrary angle. Because the output is PNG, a photo saved from a JPG can become noticeably larger.
How to use it
- Drop an image or choose a file.
- Pick a rotation or flip from the Rotate menu.
- Check the preview.
- Press Download.
Common problems
- Need a slight tilt correction
- Only 90-degree steps and flips are supported, not custom angles.
- File got larger
- The result is saved as PNG. Convert it to JPG afterward if you need a smaller photo.
- Transparency
- PNG keeps transparent areas, so a transparent image stays transparent after rotation.
