Text Line Wrapper
Automatically wrap long lines of text at a specific character length for better readability and formatting.
Runs in your browser Your input never leaves your device.
About this tool
This tool breaks long lines so none is longer than the width you set (80 characters by default, minimum 10). It wraps at spaces, so words are never split. Lines that already fit are left alone, and existing line breaks are kept, so each paragraph or line is wrapped on its own. A word longer than the width is kept whole on a line of its own. In lines that are wrapped, runs of spaces are reduced to a single space. It is useful for emails, code comments and plain-text files. Everything runs in your browser.

Common problems
- Very long words exceed the width
- Words are never broken. A long URL or word stays on one line even if it is longer than the width.
- Extra blank line at the start
- If the first word on a line is longer than the width, the output may begin with an empty line. Delete it by hand.
- Width below 10 is ignored
- The smallest width the tool uses is 10 characters.
