About this tool
This tool converts between plain text and International Morse code. In Text to Morse mode, letters, digits and common punctuation (. , ? ' ! / ( ) & : ; = + - _ " $ @) are written as dots and dashes, with a space between letters and a slash between words. In Morse to Text mode, separate letters with spaces and words with a slash. Decoded text is lowercase. Characters without a Morse code, such as accented letters, are left out when encoding, and unknown codes are skipped when decoding. Everything runs in your browser, with no audio.

Common problems
- Decoding returns nothing or gaps
- Separate letters with one space and words with a slash (/). Use plain dots and dashes, not other symbols such as bullets or long dashes.
- Some characters vanish when encoding
- Letters with accents and symbols not in the supported set are dropped instead of being converted.
- Decoded text is all lowercase
- Morse does not carry case, so the decoded output is in lowercase.
