About this tool
The page shows details for your own public IP as soon as it loads. Type any IPv4 or IPv6 address and press Look up to see another. The request goes to our server, which asks a third-party IP data service and returns the type, city, region, country, continent, coordinates, ISP, organization, ASN and time zone. Answers are cached for an hour. Geolocation is approximate: it usually points to a city or region where the network is registered, not a street address, and mobile or VPN addresses can show a different place from where you actually are.
How to use it
- Open the page to see your own IP, or type an address into the box.
- Press Look up (or Enter).
- Read the location, ISP and ASN rows.
- Clear the box and look up again to return to your own IP.
Common problems
- The location is wrong
- IP geolocation is an estimate based on registration data. VPNs, mobile networks and corporate gateways often show somewhere else.
- Your IP is not the one you expected
- A VPN, proxy or shared network shows its own public address instead of your device's.
- API fetching failed
- The data service may be temporarily unavailable or the address is malformed. Try again in a moment.
