DNS Lookup

Look up A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, CNAME, SOA and CAA records for any domain.

Looks up live data What you enter is sent to our server to fetch live results from public sources. Results are cached briefly.

About this tool

Look up the DNS records for any domain. Choose a single record type or ALL to query A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, SOA and CAA at once. Queries use DNS-over-HTTPS through Cloudflare's public resolver, so results reflect what a major public resolver currently sees, including each record's TTL (how long it may be cached). Only record types that exist for the domain are shown.

How to use it

  1. Enter a domain, for example example.com.
  2. Pick a record type, or leave it on ALL.
  3. Press Look up DNS.
  4. Read each record type and its TTL.

Common problems

No records found
Check the spelling and that the domain is registered and has DNS configured. Some record types simply do not exist for a domain (for example no MX if it does not receive email).
Results differ from what you configured
Recent changes can take time to propagate because of TTL caching. Try again later, or use the DNS propagation check to compare resolvers.
MX shows "0 ."
That is a "null MX": the domain says it does not accept email.

Frequently asked questions

Which resolver is used?
