Hostname to IP

Resolve a hostname to its IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

Looks up live data What you enter is sent to our server to fetch live results from public sources. Results are cached briefly.

About this tool

Enter a hostname such as example.com and the tool returns the IPv4 addresses (A records) and IPv6 addresses (AAAA records) it resolves to. The lookup is done by our server using Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver, so you see what a public resolver sees rather than what your own computer or router has cached. A leading https:// and any path are stripped. Answers are cached on our server for about five minutes. Large sites often return several addresses, or addresses of a CDN rather than the origin server.

How to use it

  1. Enter a domain or hostname.
  2. Press Resolve.
  3. Read the IPv4 and IPv6 lists.
  4. Use the ASN Lookup or IP Information tools to learn more about an address.

Common problems

Both lists are empty
The name does not exist or has no address records. Check the spelling and any subdomain.
The address is not your server
A CDN or proxy such as Cloudflare answers with its own addresses, hiding the origin.
Different from your local result
Your device may use a cached or local override such as a hosts file entry.
