WebP to JPG

About this tool
Many sites now serve images as WebP, which some editors, printers and older apps cannot open. This tool converts a WebP to a standard JPEG with a Quality slider (0.1 to 1, default 0.85). The browser decodes the WebP and the tool saves webp-to-jpg.jpg at the same pixel size. Since JPEG has no transparency, transparent areas are filled with white. Animated WebP files produce a single still image. Converting a lossy WebP to JPG compresses it again, so keep Quality high if you care about detail; the file may even end up larger than the WebP. Nothing is uploaded.
How to use it
- Drop a .webp file or choose one.
- Set Quality.
- Check the preview and size.
- Press Download.
Common problems
- White background where it was transparent
- JPEG cannot store transparency. Use a PNG converter if you need it.
- JPG is bigger than the WebP
- WebP is often more efficient. Lower Quality to reduce size.
- Animation lost
- Only a still frame is kept.
