About this tool
This tool scans pasted text and lists the web addresses it finds, one per line. It finds links that start with http, https, ftp or ftps, and bare addresses such as www.example.com or example.org/page whose ending is any 2 to 24 letter domain suffix (including long ones like .photography). Anything that is part of an email address (anything touching an @) is not returned, and trailing punctuation such as a full stop or comma after a link is removed. Results appear in the order found and duplicates are not removed. It is a pattern match, not a full link parser, so it can also pick up file names like report.pdf. Everything runs in your browser.
How to use it
- Paste the text that contains links.
- Read the list of addresses in the output.
- Press Copy to use them.
Example
Visit https://example.com/docs?x=1 and www.test.org today.
https://example.com/docs?x=1 www.test.org
Common problems
- File names show up as links
- Text such as report.pdf looks like a domain with an ending, so it is listed. Remove such lines by hand.
- Some links are missing
- localhost addresses and bare IP addresses without http are not matched. Add http:// in front of them.
- The same link appears twice
- Duplicates are not removed. Use a duplicate line remover on the result.
