About this tool
Converts a TIFF image to PNG, a lossless format that every browser and most apps open. This keeps full quality, and alpha transparency in the TIFF is preserved. The file is decoded in your browser with the UTIF library and saved as image.png; only the first image in the file is used. TIFFs can be much larger than PNGs because many are uncompressed, so you may see the size drop. Choose PNG over JPG for scans of line art, text, screenshots or anything you will edit again. Nothing is uploaded; processing happens on your device. JPEG-compressed TIFFs (as written by some scanners and by Pillow) are supported, with correct colours. The page also tells you when a TIFF had more than one page and only the first was converted.
