About this tool
Converts an SVG into a WebP bitmap with a Quality slider (0.1 to 1, default 0.85). The SVG is rendered by the browser at its own width and height and encoded as WebP, which supports transparency, so a transparent SVG background stays transparent. WebP can be notably smaller than PNG for illustrations with gradients or photo content, but for flat icons PNG is often just as small. There is no output-size option, so adjust the SVG's width and height if you need a larger image. The download is svg-to-webp.webp, produced entirely on your device.
How to use it
- Drop an .svg file or choose one.
- Set Quality.
- Check the preview and file size.
- Press Download.
Common problems
- Blurry edges on flat artwork
- Lossy WebP can soften sharp lines. Raise Quality to 1.
- An app does not support WebP
- Use SVG to PNG for older software.
- Output is small
- The size follows the SVG's own width and height.
