About this tool
Choose or drop an image that contains a QR code and the tool decodes it in your browser using the jsQR library, then shows the text inside. If the content is a web address starting with http:// or https://, an Open link button appears; links are never opened automatically. The image is not uploaded. It reads one QR code from a picture file such as a screenshot or photo, and does not use your camera. Clear, well-lit, high-contrast images with the whole code visible work best. Only open links you trust, because a QR code can point to any site.
How to use it
- Drop an image with a QR code or choose a file.
- Read the decoded content.
- Check the address carefully before pressing Open link.
- Use a different, sharper image if no code is found.
Common problems
- No QR code found
- The code may be blurry, cropped, too small, or low contrast. Try a sharper, closer image with a white margin around the code.
- The tool does not scan with a camera
- Take a photo or screenshot first, then load that image.
- An unexpected link
- Never open a link you do not recognize. Read the full address first.
