QR Code Editor

Create a QR code from text or a URL with custom size, margin, colors and error correction.

Runs in your browser Your input never leaves your device.

About this tool

Create a QR code from any text or URL and customize it. You can set the image Size in pixels (default 300), the Margin (quiet zone, default 2), Foreground and Background colors and the Error correction level: L (7%), M (15%, default), Q (25%) or H (30%). The code updates as you type, and Download PNG saves qrcode.png. A higher correction level lets a code survive more damage but makes the pattern denser. The code is generated in your browser with nothing sent to a server. This tool only generates codes; it cannot read an existing QR code from an image.

How to use it

  1. Type or paste the text or URL.
  2. Set size, margin, colors and error correction.
  3. Check the preview.
  4. Press Download PNG, then test it with your phone.

Common problems

Code will not scan
Keep strong contrast with a darker foreground on a lighter background; inverted or low-contrast colors fail on many scanners.
Code is crowded and hard to scan
Long text makes dense codes. Use a shorter URL or lower the correction level, and raise Size.
Margin set to 0
Scanners need a blank border. Keep Margin at 2 or more.
