About this tool
Type an expression or use the keypad. Supported: + - * / and ×, ÷, powers with ^, parentheses, sqrt, sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan, ln (natural log), log (base 10), abs, factorial with !, and the constants pi and e. A Deg/Rad switch controls trig functions. Implicit multiplication such as 2π or 3(4+1) works. Expressions are read by a built-in parser, not evaluated as code, and errors such as division by zero or a missing parenthesis are explained. Results show up to 12 significant digits, there is no memory, and everything runs in your browser.
How to use it
- Type an expression or press keypad buttons.
- Choose Deg or Rad for trigonometry.
- Press Enter or = to confirm; the result also updates as you type.
- Press C to clear or the backspace key to delete one character.
Common problems
- Error: Missing closing parenthesis
- Every ( needs a matching ). Add the missing one.
- Sine of 180 is not exactly what you expect
- Check the Deg/Rad switch; the default is degrees.
- Factorial error
- Factorial accepts whole numbers from 0 to 170 only.
