About this tool
Pick a start date and an end date to see how far apart they are. The tool counts the whole days between the two dates, then shows that figure as weeks, approximate months and approximate years. Order does not matter, because the difference is always shown as a positive number. Months use an average length of 30.4375 days and years use 365.25 days, so those two figures are estimates rather than calendar months. The end date is not counted, so Jan 1 to Jan 2 is one day. It is handy for project timelines, countdowns, notice periods and similar planning. Nothing leaves your browser.

- Read the day count, plus weeks, approximate months and approximate years.
Example
2024 is a leap year, but this range stops on Dec 31, so it covers 365 days.

Common problems
- The month count does not match the calendar
- Months are days divided by 30.4375, so a span from the 1st to the 1st of the next month can show a decimal such as 0.95. Use the day count if you need exactness.
- I need to include the end date
- The end date is not counted. Add one day to the result if you want both dates counted.
- Nothing appears
- Both dates must be filled in and valid.
