About this tool
Convert an amount between ten major currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, CNY, INR and BRL. When you press Convert, our server asks the Frankfurter exchange-rate service for the latest rate and returns the converted amount with the rate's date. These are reference rates published on working days and are cached for up to an hour, so they are not live market quotes and are not the rates a bank or card provider will charge. Use them for estimates only.
How to use it
- Enter the amount.
- Choose the From and To currencies.
- Press Convert.
- Read the result and the rate date.
Common problems
- Conversion unavailable or API error
- The rate service may be down, or the From and To currencies are the same. Pick two different currencies and try again later.
- Rate differs from your bank or card
- Banks add margins and fees and use their own timing. These are reference rates for estimating.
- Rate looks out of date
- Reference rates are updated on working days, so a weekend request shows the last working day's date.
