Glitch Text Generator

About this tool

This tool adds stacks of small combining marks to every character so your text looks distorted, often called Zalgo or glitch text. Each non-space character receives between two and five marks chosen from a fixed set of ten, based on the character itself, so the same input always gives the same output. Spaces and line breaks are left alone. The result is made from Unicode characters, so it can be pasted into many apps, but some of them cut off or ignore the extra marks. Everything runs in your browser.

How to use it

1. Type or paste your text.
2. The glitched version appears in the output.
3. Press Copy and paste it where you want it.

Common problems

The marks are cut off or shown plainly

Some apps limit combining characters. Test the text in the app you will use.

Hard to read or search

Zalgo text is difficult for screen readers and search engines. Use it only for decoration.

Cannot make it more or less glitchy

The amount of distortion is fixed and there is no intensity setting.
