About this tool
This tool rolls virtual dice. Set the number of sides (6 by default, minimum 2) and the number of dice (1 to 100), then press Generate. With one die you see the result. With several dice you see each roll and the total. Every face has the same chance, and rolls come from the random generator built into your browser, which is designed to avoid bias. Values outside the allowed range are adjusted: sides below 2 become 2, and more than 100 dice are capped at 100. Nothing is sent to a server.
How to use it
- Enter the number of sides, for example 6 or 20.
- Enter how many dice to roll.
- Press Generate.
- Press Generate again for a new roll, and Copy to save the result.
Common problems
- Fewer dice than I asked for
- The most the tool will roll at once is 100 dice.
- Sides changed to 2
- A die needs at least two sides. Lower values are raised to 2.
- Results do not match a game's rules
- This tool only adds the dice. It does not apply modifiers, drops or re-rolls.
