About this tool
Fetches the HTML source code of a web page so you can read it without opening developer tools. Enter an address (https is assumed if you leave it out) and our server downloads the page, follows redirects and returns the final URL, status code, content type, length and the source text. The URL you enter is sent to our server, which makes the request on your behalf, and the result can be cached for ten minutes. Only the first 3 MB are returned, and only the HTML that the server sends: content created later by JavaScript is not included. Private or internal addresses and unusual ports are refused.
How to use it
- Enter the page address.
- Press Fetch source.
- Read or copy the source and check the status and content type.
- Use your browser's developer tools if you need the rendered page.
Common problems
- Source is missing content you see in the browser
- The page builds that content with JavaScript after loading. This tool only shows the raw HTML the server sent.
- The request is refused or fails
- Internal addresses and non-standard ports are blocked, and some sites block our server. Try the page in your browser instead.
- Source looks cut off
- Output is limited to the first 3 MB of the response.
