About this tool
Despite its name, this tool reads one page only. Our server fetches the HTML of the address you enter and extracts the links from anchor tags, returning the page title, counts and lists of internal links (same host) and external links (other hosts). Each list is capped at 200 unique URLs. Links starting with #, mailto:, tel: or javascript: are skipped, relative links are resolved to full URLs, and links added by JavaScript are not seen. It does not follow the links to crawl deeper, and it does not draw a map. The address you enter is sent to our server.
How to use it
- Enter the page address.
- Press Crawl.
- Review the internal and external link lists.
- Enter another page to inspect it in the same way.
Common problems
- Fewer links than expected
- Links injected by JavaScript are not found, and each list stops at 200 unique URLs.
- A subdomain is listed as external
- Internal means exactly the same host, so www and non-www, or a subdomain, count as external.
- The tool did not crawl the whole site
- Only the single page you enter is read.
