About this tool
Type a title, a URL and a meta description and the tool draws a simplified search result. Titles longer than 60 characters and descriptions longer than 160 characters are cut with an ellipsis, and a note warns when they are too long or when the title is under 30 characters. The URL line shows only the host and path. Real search engines measure width in pixels and may rewrite titles and descriptions, so use the preview as a rough guide, not a guarantee. It works entirely in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
How to use it
- Enter your page title.
- Enter the page URL and meta description.
- Watch the preview and the length note update.
- Shorten the text if you see a warning.
Common problems
- My real snippet looks different
- Search engines can rewrite titles and descriptions and truncate by pixel width, not character count.
- The URL line shows only part of the address
- Only the host and path are shown, without the scheme or query string.
