Percentage Calculator
Calculate X% of Y, what percent one number is of another, or percent change.
Runs in your browser Your input never leaves your device.
About this tool
Choose one of three calculations and enter two numbers. X% of Y finds a part, for example 15% of 200. X is what % of Y finds the share one number is of another. % change from X to Y finds how much a value rose or fell relative to the starting number X, and a negative result means a decrease. Results update as you type and are rounded to four decimal places. Some inputs give no result: X is what % of Y needs Y not to be 0, and percent change needs X not to be 0. All math runs in your browser.
How to use it
- Select the calculation type.

Common problems
- No result is shown
- Dividing by zero is not allowed. Y cannot be 0 for the what-percent mode and X cannot be 0 for percent change.
- Percent change looks wrong after a decrease
- A drop shows as a negative percentage, for example 100 to 80 is -20%.
- Result is rounded
- Values are rounded to four decimal places.
