About this tool
Converts a JSON array of objects into a table with one row per object, as tab-separated (TSV) or comma-separated (CSV) text. Pick the delimiter in the options; the default is tab. The column headings are all keys found across the objects, in the order they first appear, and a missing value becomes an empty cell. Values with the delimiter, quotes or line breaks are quoted, and nested objects or arrays are written as JSON text in the cell. A single object is treated as one row. If your JSON is invalid, the parse error is shown. Everything runs in your browser.
How to use it
- Paste a JSON array of objects.
- Choose Tab (TSV) or Comma (CSV).
- Copy the output into a spreadsheet or file.
Example
Tab is the default delimiter.
[{"name":"Ann","age":30},{"name":"Bob","age":25}]name age Ann 30 Bob 25
Common problems
- An error message appears
- The input is not valid JSON. Check for trailing commas, single quotes and missing brackets.
- Nested data looks odd
- Objects and arrays inside a value are placed in the cell as JSON text. Flatten your data first if you need separate columns.
- Columns are blank for some rows
- Not all objects have the same keys. Every key is listed as a column, and missing ones are left empty.
