JSON to CSV
Convert a JSON array of objects into CSV or TSV.
Runs in your browser Your input never leaves your device.
About this tool
Paste a JSON array of objects and get CSV with a header row built from every key found across all the objects. Rows missing a key get an empty cell. Choose comma or tab as the delimiter. Fields that contain the delimiter, quotes or line breaks are wrapped in double quotes, and nested objects or arrays inside a field are written as JSON text in that cell, since CSV is flat. A single object is treated as a one-row table. If the JSON is invalid, a warning with the parser message is shown. Everything runs in your browser.
How to use it
- Paste a JSON array such as [{"a":1},{"a":2}].
- Choose Comma (CSV) or Tab (TSV).
- Read the CSV in the output.
- Press Copy or paste it into a spreadsheet.
Example
[{"name":"Ada","note":"likes, commas"},{"name":"Lin","age":29}]name,note,age Ada,"likes, commas", Lin,,29
Common problems
- A warning appears instead of CSV
- The JSON is invalid. Check for trailing commas, single quotes or missing brackets.
- A cell contains JSON text
- Nested objects and arrays cannot be split into columns, so they are stored as JSON in one cell. Flatten your data first if you need separate columns.
- Column order is not what you expected
- Columns follow the order keys first appear across the objects.
